Riverworks Development Corporation drives social and economic development by aligning residents and businesses with specialized resources that strengthen Harambee, Riverwest and surrounding communities.

Riverworks Development Corporation (RDC) is a 501(c)(3) in Milwaukee, WI. For 30 years, our organization has been working with businesses and residents in the Harambee and Riverwest neighborhoods. RDC has two main "arms" - the social and economic divisions.

This year Riverworks celebrates 30 years of service, offering coordinated programs and services for residents and businesses in the Harambee and Riverwest neighborhoods with the goal of creating a thriving and prosperous community for all. Our emphasis on People, Place, and Prosperity offers comprehensive solutions to help our community move forward. Here are a few recent testimonials of our impact:

I have been working with Riverworks since 2021 to establish homeownership and build a non-profit
business focusing on women in transition and suffering from domestic abuse. Serah has been a very resourceful and delightful person during this entire process of assisting me with establishing a local
business. I have also been working with Jamal to access homeownership, when I first started my
credit score was in the mid-500s, now it’s over 670. Moving forward, I am confident that I will not
only be a respected business owner, but homeowner as well. Thanks, Riverworks for all that you do!
-Latoya Myrick, Resident & Founder of Carries Place of Grace Inc.

As a Riverwest resident and frequent collaborator with Riverworks through my work at the
Department of City Development, I know the positive impact that Riverworks has in our community.
Through their work supporting local entrepreneurs, developing affordable housing, leading numerous
community improvement projects, providing financial counseling and anti-displacement assistance to
neighborhood residents, and championing the future of the Beerline Trail, Riverworks has shown
an ability to deliver on its mission of neighborhood-focused community and economic development.
